Smart AI Project Contest

Contest Theme:

• System Development through AppSheet & Open Data for Great Society, powered by AI

Welcome to all secondary school students to join!

Awards:

• Grand Award 
• First prize
• Second Prize
• Third Prize

Writing requirements:

• Describe how to improve current problems in our society
• Apply digital tools such as AppSheet, data analysis tools with use of Open Data (such as geospatial data) and Gemini AI etc.

Submission and format:

1. Eligibility: Local secondary school student only; A group of up to 4  students
   
2. Submission & Format:
   a) Submit your proposal (refer to point 3 below) with registration including school teams’ information at our Google Form and  upload your PPT/ PDF (up to 15 slides/ pages ONLY) and a 3-min video in our Google drive by 26 May 2025 23:59 (Monday)
   
   b) Please attach team information on the first page of the proposal to confirm the school and team name (must be the same as filled in the registration form)
   
   

Presentation & Screening:

• First Screening: No in-person presentation required
  
• Shortlisted teams will be announced on 20 June 2025 (Friday) and notify the shortlisted groups by email or WhatsApp
  
• Special Learning workshops/ Training for shortlisted teams will be arranged on 7 July 2025 (Monday) afternoon
  
• Final Screening: 25 August 2025 (Monday) morning
  • Format: 5 mins presentation + 5 mins Q&A
    
• More details will be given to registered and shortlisted team by email or WhatsApp

Smart Technology Enhancement Showcase at our HKtag pavilion :

• Showcase schedule to be arranged by HKtag Secretariat in July after training.  Please check your email or our WhatsApp group!
• Location: Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Wan Chai, from 22 to 25 August 2025 (at The Hong Kong Computer and Communications Festival 2025)
• Appreciation Ceremony: 25 August 2025 from 2pm to 4pm; Details will be notified later (teachers and parents are welcome to attend)
