Internship Program 2026 – Notes to Applicants

Objective: To nurture our young talent with early experience in IT-related work and spark their interest in studying relevant subjects at institutions or working in this sector; to enhance students’ knowledge of the industry, gain work experience, and build their professional networks.
Please Note: This program aims to provide students with educational experiences and internship opportunities in technology related industries. All participants must be full-time students recognised by educational institutions. HKtag primarily serves as a referral platform, recommending students to partner companies for internships, assisting them in understanding the industry environment.
請注意: 本計劃旨在為學生提供接觸資訊科技及相關行業的教育體驗及實習機會。所有參加者均須為教育機構認可之全日制學生,本機構主要負責推薦學生至合作企業實習,協助學生了解不同職業及工作環境。
Eligibility:
- Secondary: S4 or above (age at 16 by the first day of internship)
- Tertiary: Year 1 or above
Job Requirements:
- Internship: Work at least 3 days or 24 hours per week*
- Internship Period: minimum 4 -5 weeks
*1. All working hours and dates are to be mutually agreed upon by the shortlisted applicants and their assigned companies.
2. Applicants should be able to commit to the time periods they have stated on the application form.
3. The final number of working hours and dates will be determined by the assigned companies.
Required documents:
- A copy of the latest transcript/ report card
- Curriculum vitae highlighting additional skills, such as coding languages, that could strengthen your application
Program period: June to August 2026 (depending on the arrangement of the company)
Program partners: Companies or start-ups across various industries, including technology, innovation, education, engineering, business (Subject to Further Updates and Changes*)
*The organizer will assign companies that align with applicants’ stated fields of interest and preferences. However, an exact match to all preferences cannot be ensured.
Renumeration/Subsidy: Depends on the arrangement of the internship company.
Location of Work: Physical Office (Remote work arrangements may be made based on the company’s preferences)

Notes:
- If you did not receive our invitation to the interview on or before 12 June, 2026, you may consider the application as unsuccessful.
- To ensure the experience of the program, participants are not allowed to withdraw from the internship program once they have been accepted by the internship company.
- Participants will be matched with one company at a time, and if they are not accepted, they will be matched with another company, if applicable.
- Successful applicants are required to reserve time to attend the Internship Programme 2026 Presentation Ceremony (held on 24 August 2026).
- Interns are required to complete the activity report at the end of the internship period to complete the project and obtain a certificate of completion.
- In case of disputes, the Hong Kong Technology Advancement Group (the Organiser) has the right to make final decision.
