Smart Campus Project Contest – The selection criteria for 20+ outstanding students’ works as follow :

1) Innovation and Creativity (25%)
2) Functionality including available with trial model and relevant use of open data sets (20%)
3) Potential of deployment/ Performance (20%)
4) Benefits and Impact (20%)
5) Quality, including reliability, user-friendly interface and good presentation of team work (15%)

Writing requirements:

  • Describe how to improve current problems on campus
  • Apply digital tools such as IoT sensors, data analysis tools, geospatial data or AI etc.

Submission and format:

  1. Eligibility: Local secondary school student only; A group of up to 4 students

  3. Format:
    a) Email ppt/ pdf (less than 15 MB) to [email protected] by 28 June 2024 12:00 noon (no exception)
    b) Welcome to embed video or any demo in presentation
    c) Welcome to develop web pages (please provide relevant links), applications or dashboards for presentation
    d) Must state in your email subject line: Smart Campus Project Contest 2024 + your school name + team name (as stated in our registration form – google form)

Presentation & Screening:

  • Notification about time and venue for presentation screening by email: on or before 3 July 2024
  • Screening date: 6 July 2024 (PLEASE SAVE THIS DATE!!)
    • Format: 5 mins presentation + 3 mins Q&A
    • Language: Cantonese or English

Showcase at our HKtag pavilion :

  • Showcase schedule to be arranged by HKtag after final screening in early July.
  • Location at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Wan Chai, from 23 to 26 August 2024 (@ The Hong Kong Computer and Communications Festival 2024)
  • Appreciation Ceremony: 26 August 2024; Details will be notified later (teachers and parents are welcome to attend)

  • Third Prize
  • Grand Award (depending on final result)
